His funeral will take place on 16th January at 2:45 pm at Ayr Crematorium.

Just a reminder that Howie Bowling Club are bidding to secure funds to help our disabled and young bowlers enjoy this great sport of ours. So if you live in the Prestwick, Heathfield or Newton North area, come along to Heathfield Primary School between 10:00 and 12:00 tomorrow morning to vote for us! Residents aged 10 or over are eligible to vote and the process should only take around 10 minutes.
Next Saturday morning (25th November) Howie will be bidding for funds to buy equipment for our disabled and young bowlers at a local “Decision Day” at Heathfield Primary School. All citizens over 10 years of age living in the Prestwick, Heathfield, and Newton North areas can register and vote for us. If you qualify, please try to support the club by turning up between 10:00 – 12:00 to vote for us. There will be free tea, coffee, juice and crisps, and the process should only take 10 minutes.

Congratulations to Tom Brown who won out over Keith Lyons in the Novice Cup, and to Brian Rowan and Colin Carmichael who got the better of Billy Herd and John Lorimer in the Club Pairs in a night of high drama in the late evening sunshine.
If you are lucky (or rather good enough) to have win a trophy this season, and you currently hold this in your possession, please return this to the club at the earliest possible opportunity so it can get engraved before the Awards Dinner.
Well done to Lewis McCarrell and Lily Stewart, winners of the Junior Pairs Cup held on Saturday 16th. In an entertaining final with multiple “touches”, they won through against Lucas Neil and Alice Jones by 6-2 in the five end final.
In the runners up competition for first round losers, Nicolas and Orietta beat the McRae sisters, Ruby and Anna.
