Howie Bowling Club have won the prestigious Active Schools Club of the Year Award tonight at a ceremony at Ayr Town Hall!  Well done to all of our coaches and members who have made this possible!

Don’t forget the event of the year – Howie’s Open Day this Saturday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. We’re looking for donations for our bottle stall and book stall, so bring along your stuff to the club anytime prior to Saturday.

Congratulations to Colin Carmichael,  Steven Todd,  and Margaret Macmoneagle on winning the Buchanan Trophy today, edging out gallant runners up John McWhirter,  Helen Kyle,  and Ann Jack.  Both teams were undefeated after the round robin event, but the winners squeaked through by 29 shots to 25!

Our Open Whappenshaw on Wednesday attracted a staggering 22 players! Thanks to everyone who supported the event!

Our twice monthly Open Whappenshaw is on again tomorrow,  starting at 6:30. All welcome, Juniors included. Members free. Non members pay £3.00, non members Juniors £1.00.

Despite a gallant effort,  Howie came up just short on Sunday, losing by 58-53 to an inspired Maybole Memorial Park team.  Next event is the mixed Buchanan Trophy.  Play starts this Saturday at 10:00 am.

The club are holding a fun bounce game this Sunday at 2:00 pm. A great chance to enjoy the sunshine and to introduce a friend to the sport. See you on the green!

The first Open Whappenshaw of the season takes place this Wednesday at 6:30 pm. Non members £3.00.  Be there, or be square!

Bank holiday Monday sees the start of Monday night coaching. The action starts at 6:30 pm and is open to adults and children.   Adults £2.00, children £1.00. First session free.  No charge yo club members.
